I go back to work this thurs full time. Can anyone tell me how long I have to be back at work to ensure I get my full maternity pay. We want to have our babies quite close together but don't want to lose out moneywise.

If someone knows can you tell me if this is LAW or differs from company yo company???

don't think it matters, maternity leave is considered 'continuous employment' it's not seen as a break from working

Agreed. I've known people come back from maternity leave already pregnant again! Check your company's policy but essentially it requires you to have worked a certain number of weeks before you are a certain number of weeks pregnant (I think it's roughly 'you must have worked here for one more week than you are pregnant' as a general rule) - and your maternity leave counts as employment time.

Moneywise what matters is how much you are earning from in the eight week period up to and including the 15th week before your expected week of childbirth. The period your employer uses may vary depending on how often you are paid ? weekly, monthly or other intervals.
