am I entitled to any sick pay. My hr have said I'm classed as being on long term sick which my contract says because of my length of service I'd be entitledto pay but it doesn't specify what. Also normally sick pay for 'normal' sickess is at managers discretion. If it is statutory how nuch is that and does it make any difference that i'm onlypart time?

why are you classed as being on long term sick? surely the length of your "sickness" should be from when you're due to start back at work.
you are entitled to statutory sick pay, but it's peanuts. it won't matter that you're only part time.

you need to speak to them again and ask them how much you;ll be getting

All employees are entitled to SSP it is a govt 'benefit' and a flat rate of approx £75 a week, you don't get it for the first three days os sickness though. You should check your contract of employment you may be entitled to something more than the statutory minimum. Have a look at ACAS web site very helpful and I think user friendly.
