Miriam2 · 01/11/2006 19:18

Helping hands..precious time sounds a bit, well precious..helping hands sounds reassuring

Beccarolloveragain · 01/11/2006 19:32

Should it be helping hand or helping hands?

northerner · 01/11/2006 19:33

Helping hands - you have 2 of them!

It conjours up a great image and logo.

lulumama · 01/11/2006 19:36

definitely hands....you sound more ready for action!

buktus · 01/11/2006 19:36

helping hands is better imo

StFillydiaofJonkton · 01/11/2006 19:37

helping hands def

SaintHunkerOfMunker · 01/11/2006 19:38

Helping Hands.

Precious Time sounds like you might be a bit precious with your time. Not what I'd want from a doula

moondog · 01/11/2006 19:38

Don't like either.Helping Hands sounds religious and t'other too sickly.

Tinker · 01/11/2006 19:39

Helping Hands sounds a bit Meals on Wheels.

Beccarolloveragain · 01/11/2006 19:40

argh! every time i make a decision it gets vetoed!

any other ideas?

what is religious about helping hands moony?

OP posts:
LucyJones · 01/11/2006 19:41

it sounds like care in the community. The name should imply more of what you're doing imo but can't think of one!! Someone will come along with something soon though

lulumama · 01/11/2006 19:42

Becca..i think it is a great name...implies caring without being too precious..practical but not overbearing...go with your gut on this !!

popsycal · 01/11/2006 19:43

the first

Beccarolloveragain · 01/11/2006 19:46

popsy why you not online

OP posts:
northerner · 01/11/2006 19:46

Helping hands is not meals on wheels or religious!

A Doula does just that, offers a pair of helping hands, to help with the birth and any jobs around the home post partum. Am I correct?

popsycal · 01/11/2006 19:46

i turned off automativc sign in...on now

Beccarolloveragain · 01/11/2006 19:46

yes and can i just add that i will mostly be focussed on post natal work so most of the role would be hands on helping!

OP posts:
hewlettsdaughter · 01/11/2006 19:48

I vote for Helping Hands

the first ... again!!

I have a lovely image of your hands logo too - protective & supportive - nice!

moondog · 02/11/2006 09:27

Not sure Becca....sounds sort of missionary like to me at least...

pupuce · 02/11/2006 22:22

Becca - are you STILL looking for a name ???

Lulu - Becca did my course with me and your trainer... You are NOT in the same part of England.

Ellieorange · 02/11/2006 22:26

yeah. helping hands def. i did not find giving birth was a precious time at all, but maybe that's because i didn't have a doula! don't think it is missionary-like. my parents were missionaries so i am qualified to know!
