I've got an interview for a student hv post, but I'm now worrying about how I will maintain my mw registration as I can't work bank shifts as a newly qualified mw.

Has anybody got any experience or advice please?

Not a mw but a nurse who is just completed the SCPHN course. I found this link -
Direct entryMW
Apparently you have a supervisor of MWs who can sign your ongoing CPD as a MW and this allows you to keep your MW registration.

Good luck - the course has nearly killed me!

That is brilliant! Thank you so much redautumnleaves

I've trawled the NMC site but didn't find that page. I just found the page which said as a SCPHN you must remain on the register, and complete 450 hours every three years. I am so happy! Smile

Now for the interview prep...

Haha...just realised that my rose tinted specs filtered out your last sentence. I must be a glutton for punishment Smile

I'm considering doing this if I manage to get through the midwifery course so will be interested to hear how you get on.

I'll let you know Pandora Smile
