I was offered a job on friday afternoon and I accepted. I was overjoyed to be offered it but I haven't heard anything from them since.

I know it's not been long but I have quite bad anxiety and I'm worried that I must have misunderstood the conversation Blush Blush how long is normal to get something in writing?

have you given them a call? perhaps it will come in the post today? did they say they were going to send you a contract? do you have a job to hand your notice in?

How did you leave it with them? Did they say they'd send a contract out?

If you did not discuss with them at the time, phone them today and ask when you can expect to receive the offer in writing. If you need to resign from another job, it would be very normal to want to know what the timeline would look like.

I had this recently, it took over 10 days to actually get the contract, despite me saying I'd not resign from my current job until I'd seen the new contract. It didn't help they'd go my house number wrong (#4 instead of #44), but that only added a day.

I'd call them and ask, so email if it's easier with the anxiety.

Congratulations on the new job :)

Congratulations on the job! For the job I have just started, it took them a month to email me an official job confirmation letter. However, this really has been a sign of really poor efficiency all the way though, so do ring to chase them if nothing comes soon.
