starting work with three children two dogs and a husband

I'm wanting to start work now that all three of my children are at school full time but juggling the school run and different trip out with school school assemblys and so on and so on plus cooking cleaning and everything else that comes with being a mom i just don't know how this would be possible should i try and look for a job with a 0 hour contract?? I haven't worked for a long time and I'm really stuck as to where to start any help or ideas would be very much appreciated T.I.A

You need to decide if you want a career and decent money or just a job to get a bit of extra cash. If it's the former you'll need to a) be extremely organised, b) throw money at things like cleaning, online shopping and c) accept that there will have to be compromises e.g. You won't always be able to get to every assembly and your children won't be able to have as many play dates. You also need to have the best childcare you can afford.

However if you don't want/need a career then you're looking for something you can fit round your family but be aware that those kinds of jobs either pay very little or are fiercely competitive.

If you've been out of the workplace for a while it would be a good idea to volunteer for a while to brush up your skills.

Oh, and your husband needs to be part of the solution - he's equally responsible for the children, dogs, house so will need to step up
