What do you do/want to do?

QuootieSpookypie · 23/10/2006 21:53

fish4jobs?

expatinscotland · 23/10/2006 21:53

local unis and colleges are good.

hairymclary · 23/10/2006 21:55

what kind of thing are you looking for?

lkook on your local authority website, ours advertises nhs jobs, social work stuff and all kinds.

also write letters to anyone you want to work for

nutcracker · 23/10/2006 21:56

Ooooh fish4jobs, I knew there was another one and couldn't remember it.

College and uni jobs tend to be advertised on our local council website expat but I will try checking the individual institutions too.

In answer to what job do i want ? Well , tbh I don't know, I just look at all the ad's and see what there is.

monster.co.uk?

nutcracker · 23/10/2006 21:58

Tried applying for 2 jobs today, but didn't even get past the selection questions online

Have no formal qualifications so I think that is becoming a problem.

Work history includes, retail work, childminding, and romm attendant in a hotel. Infact I will ring round some hotels tommorow I think.

try jobserve.co.uk too - good luck with it all

whooOOOoooOOOpsfallenoveragain · 23/10/2006 22:00

What about agencies like Reed (lots of other agencies advertise with them too) and Hays

nutcracker · 23/10/2006 22:02

Thanks, will try all those.

jobsgopublic.co.uk and guardian website

clerkKent · 31/10/2006 12:42

You could just do an internet search like "Jobs Croydon" or "Jobs hospital". MOst of the big sites like Monster, Jobserve and Reed will let you set up a search agent that will send details of jobs matching your criteria (location, salary range, keywords) to your email address.
