I havent a clue how to do this with a professional edge.

Any one know how i could do this, are there any useful websites that could help me with the lay out etc etc.

Thanks, i really really appreciate your help and i am desperate to get this job so i need to look very good.

I have got some presentations which may help you to look at a layout but they are not on clinical governance one is on service delivery and one is on nursing stratergy. I'm just trying to think of how you could break it down to answer your questions. I can certainly email you the presentations I've got. Is your background ITU ?

Donbean · 30/10/2006 11:39

yes, im currently a staff nurse in ICU.
What about you?

Cardiology manager,do you want me to email you these presentations?

poptot · 30/10/2006 11:42

Sorry cross posted I'll do it now and if you want to email your presentation I'll be glad to have a look at it for you.

Some tips I've picked up from doing presentations a lot.

  1. Don't just read from a piece of paper - most people can read a piece of paper, it doesn't mean you know anything about the subject and you tend to not make eye contact when you're doing this. Use subject headings etc. as a prompt.

2)If you use powerpoint/flip charts etc. make sure they add to the presentation, and not just there to look pretty/show that you can use them.

3)If using computer equiptment always have a backup in case it doesn't work. And always make sure in advance they kknow you are using it so anything you need can be provided.

4)Don't give out copy of presentation - they will read it instead of listening.

5)Don't appear nervous (even if you are). You need a clear voice at a volume everyone can hear. Keep your head up and make eye contact.

6)Be prepared and practice!!

Hope it all goes well
