Dulwich - job advert - but house prices very high- solution please

Job came up but it would mean moving into the area. the prices of properties are high...we are young family 2 kids...is there anything else that is worth moving for? or abit further from dulwich?

Have a look at neighbouring areas such as Crystal Palace, Annersley etc

Dulwich was/is VERY expensive.
All depends on your budget - are you going to rent or buy?
How far from D. is the furthest you are prepared to commute.

Have a look at Penge (2 stops from West Dulwich), Norwood junction etc. It depends which bit of Dulwich as there are a few different stations and it would depend which one you go into. Follow the trainline out.

But the whole of London is stupid expensive.

Long time since I left London so can't comment on neighbouring areas (except to say, as everyone else does, how incredibly expensive London has become).

Depends indeed on which bit of Dulwich - Dulwich village is lovely but you'd need to be really minted. However, there are stations like South Bermondsey and Peckham Rye about 5 minutes away from East Dulwich & North Dulwich railway stations.

Although if you're going in from outside London, it's all going to seem ridiculously expensive, mostly because it is ridiculously expensive.
