Has anyone with no real computer knowledge trained in SEO and started a business from it?

SEO- Search engine optimisation ie getting your web site to the top of google? I find it quite interesting but wondered if ti would be a viable business to start since I am a computer dumb whit?

The company who hosts my website offer this as part of my yearly package. So I think it is something you maybe need to combine with other services.
I do regularly check up on them and the worst I ever come out is number two on a web search.

There are certainly SEO consultants doing just SEO. It can save a company a lot of money dumping the PPC and relying on SEO only, if you do it right.

But, really, how can you possibly make a business from SEO consulting if you have no experience of it? This is not something you can just read a book, or do an evening class and then people are going to pay you to advise on their SEO.

If you're genuinely interested in it then by all means get yourself started in the industry. Get yourself a marketing assistant job (depending on what your current experience is) and start from there. Perhaps in a few years you can set up on your own.
