Gap in my career - do I explain in CV or no?

In my CV there's about 2 year gap (2010 - 2012) when I was on maternity / SAHM. I worked after thtat. Should I mention that I was SAHM or do I just leave a gap between employments? If I mention it, do I just put it there as another job or do I mention it othewise?

It's always better to explain gaps in your cv. It's a legitimate reason to have a gap.

The alternative is that they may think you were in prison!

yes do explain to show you've nothing to hid.

e.g

2010-2012- career break to raise family
2012 returned to work
