And I can't wait.

We run our own business (I'm the cook for our daycare nursery/ies, BIL has taken over the admin/ a lot of the cooking for the second nursery.)

I am aware, however, that Mr Bubble will be taking over the cooking as well as his own very busy job. He and his brother have both done the 'Food Hygeine and Handling' cert and I've taught them well.

But.... Will I be able to keep away????

....probably not knowing you bubble

It is definitely different as it's our own business. And I can't keep my big beaky nose out.....

I will keep away from the kitchen, however, as I will doubtless feel the need to interfere.

Lovely to see you back, BTW, Lockets.

35 weeks. And it's gone so quickly....

I'm having an elective CS on the 26th October, lockets. I'd like to try for a VBAC...and I'm probably a good candidate for one (two uneventful previous VD's) but we just don't feel we can take the slightest risk after what happened last time.. And I know that a CS isn't necessarily risk-free, but it feels like the 'safer' option, TBH.

How's it going with your new little lady?

I do envy you your girls, BTW.

But I also enjoy being a mum to all boys. It's strange. I don't have the 'memory banks' to necessarily know what they're feeling. But it is nice to be able to say to Mr Bubble ....." I am leaving you to 'role model'...." As they charge around the garden doing blokey things, and I sit with my feet up.

No, we haven't settled on a name. We'll need to see what he looks like (we know he's a boy)......and yes, I know he'll look like a baby But YKWIM.

Our three boys have got biblical, fairly 'funky' Old Testament names. So we'd like to follow that theme.

So far, then, we've got...

Asher.... Old Hebrew. I like it but the boys say it reminds them of Bo's ashes.

Gabriel....Will end up as 'Gabby' or 'Gabe' which, without being homophobic, may end up as 'Gay?'

Micah.....Another old name...but will it sound like 'Mike?'

Jacob...Which means 'One who supplants.' Again, a bit sad, as Bo died.... and this one would probably not have been born if he'd lived.

Any ideas?

I love the name Kitty, BTW.

There's another possible.... I like 'Kit' but Mr Bubble says it sounds like a 60's actor. Anything wrong with that??

I heared someone refer to their bab as Gabie today which was sweet...

bubble99 · 26/09/2006 20:55

I'm hoping for a dark-haired brown-eyed boy, like Mr Bubble.

My MIL has brown eyes and dark brown (well, grey, now) hair but my FIL has blue eyes and fair hair.

As my family are all blue-eyed, the brown-eye gene has been squashed. All of The Bubble Boys are fair with blue eyes.

I can't wait to meet him, anyway.

lockets, I started a thread recently about people's reactions to me expecting another boy...

Did you get any negative comments about having three girls? And, if so, how did you and WMF deal with it?

OP posts:
bubble99 · 26/09/2006 20:56

Gabie is sweet, NA(B)O.

Care to explain the name-change???

OP posts:
Miaou · 26/09/2006 20:59

oooh bubbs, not long now!!!

I lurve the name Gabriel/Gabe btw. Tis my favourite.

NotABustyOtter · 26/09/2006 21:00

Bubble /Lockets i get lots of comments re having four boys and tbh they do get me down. I am one of four girls in the generation when boys were the desired sex. Now the tables have turned i bear four boys. Obviously doomed. My boys are non-blokey though. Tall and handsome(!) but not laddish or sporty.
re the gene bit bubble....
me blue eyed blonde /dp dark haired brown eyes
1st two dc's dark with brown eyes
2nd two dc's fair with blue eyes
5th dark with beautiful brown eyes!

Bloomin' grandparents have scuppered it all!

One bluey too far....

NAO. You still haven't explained the 'busty' bit...

OP posts:
bubble99 · 26/09/2006 21:15

Miaou...Elijah has an angel's name, so Gabriel would definitely fit.

lockets. Yes, I'm so proud of all of my boys. Plus, DS1 said yesterday...."If we had a sister we'd have to ambush her."

I imagine she'd shun any girly stuff anyway?

I hate to 'use' Bo's death. But, when I encountered the (pre-scan) "I bet you're hoping for a girl?" nonsense..I said "Well, our little boy died last year, so another boy would be lovely."

OP posts:
NotABustyOtter · 26/09/2006 21:22

busty because i am trying to stop feeding !!!

My daughter (currently being nsughty and not going to bed) is number two. She loves having four brothers ( two are little -two big) and LOVES being spoiled and lavished with clothes by her adoring mother!

bubble99 · 26/09/2006 21:29

You see, NA(B)O? Thats the bit I'm a bit about. I wish I could buy some 'pink stuff.'

Should I have a number 5? [really weary and doubting my sanity emoticon]

OP posts:
bubble99 · 26/09/2006 21:31

Also, I'm 40...and, though I realise there are a lot of funky 40 years olds here, I cannot see myself standing in TopShop at 55 years old with a 15 year old girl.....

OP posts:
Uwila · 26/09/2006 22:08

I still like Gabriel (commented when you posted a thread about it a while ago). I like Asher too, but what your boys said about it would definately spoil it for me. I could give my precious new baby a name that had any sad association for his brothers.

Go with Gabe. It is a cool name.

Are you going to the xmas party?

Oh, and don't forget your Arnica!
