A follow-on thread from yesterday ...I GOT THE JOB - so the pen flicker can flick off

For those who posted on my "my boss flicked me on the head with a pen today" thread, and for anyone else who's interested... I had a second interview interview, they offered me the job and I've accepted. Just need to wait for the confirmation later, so hopefully Thursday/Friday I should be able to tell my complete bitch of a boss to shove her pen where the sun doesn't shine LOL

yay congrats

you should bash her round the side of the head with a yellow pages on the way out

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2006 13:53

apologies for my excitement and the couple of mistakes, good thing my new job doesn't involve much typing

YAY for you lmb. LOve trinity's suggestion for a parting gesture

kimi · 26/09/2006 13:55

good for you congratulations

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2006 13:55

LOL not a bad idea... although I am rather concerned about the violence on mn ... somebody yesterday suggested I hit her with a cricket bat - both excellent ideas though

heavenis · 26/09/2006 13:58

It was me that suggested the cricket bat.

Glad you got the job

NomDePlume · 26/09/2006 13:58

Well done you

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2006 13:59

Thanks heavenis... just need to go lurking in the garage to get the bat ready

congratulations that's excellent news. maybe you should but her a pen as a parting gift. So pleased for you.

mistypeaks · 26/09/2006 14:50

I lurked on this one yesterday. Congrats really pleased. Hope you manage to do something fairly evil to the old witch before you go. Yellow pages, cricket bats all good suggestions.

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2006 17:03

Thanks everyone.
Offer letter has been emailed, so just writing letter of resignation.

Perhaps I could leave her a pen as a farewell gift?

What about going for constructive dismissal now you know you have another job?

Uwila · 26/09/2006 21:53

Think you should leave her a pen with some cotton taped on it (to soften the blow). Seriously, don't burn any bridges. Yoiu might change jobs again and need a reference from her. Just take pleasure in knowing your departure is your revenge. Much nicer to do it with a smile.

shedevil · 26/09/2006 22:11

I've just found this thread and would love to know....why did she flick you in the first place? Sorry to all those on here who know what its all about, i'm curious...!

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2006 23:28

I've written a very nice resignation letter ... time to move on ... that sort of thing. I have no intention of having a final confrontation with this woman even though the thought of hitting her with a cricket bat or even the yellow pages is more appealing by the minute.
I've thought of constructive dismissal ... but can't be arsed ... life is too short.
I was flicked with the pen for not finding something in a filing cabinet that she then went on to find - she is a bully, she's like it with everyone in the office, not just me, the difference is I'm not prepared to put up with it - can't wait for tomorrow - wish me luck

Well I hope you get on better at your new job, good luck you deserve it, all the best for tomorrow as well. If you don't want to confront then don't - rise above it, she's probably expecting you to and wants you to, so don't give her the satisfaction! x
