After many years and with our youngest now 16, my decided to go back to wok. She went to an interview that last all of 3 min where she could not be employed a he had not worked or signed on in the last 10 years. Discriminatory or what

WHAT IS THE JOB?

RosesandRugby · 19/07/2014 20:54

I came across this myself recently. I applied for a job with The Court Service and they said that because I didn't have any work references (personal reference will not be accepted under any circumstances) covering the last 5 years I could not be shortlisted for the job. My particular role had the rules set by The Ministry for Justice. Hmm

Dozens of Government/Public Service posts require up to date 'paid employment references' and will not accept any gaps in your CV even if you have brought up your family.

I think she should start with vol jobs first and develop some relevant skills and then later apply for jobs .

Sorry but your posts are making no sense now and you still haven't shared what kind of position expects this information.
