Not sure which topic this fits, but need your ideas. My department is being made redundant. I've got £1,500 to spend (£150/head) on a leaving do and we want a day out of some description. Original idea was day trip to Paris on Eurostar BUT one person is terrified it's a terrorist target (we've tried reasoning with her re. relative risk of living and working in London but to no avail). We've also got one person who is scared of flying so no quick hop to Le Touquet or anything of that nature. Anyone on MN work in corporate hospitality? Or have any bright ideas?

WOW £150. a head!
Could you not do a nice meal out at £50. a head and give them all a hundred bonus

(Sorry, do i sound tight)

Sadly no, money has to be spent on leaving do. Although some of the team are keen on the a la carte menu at Gordon Ramsey's... but then that blows the whole budget and we really want a whole day thing.

Spa day at a hotel with sports facilities/saunas/dinner? Sorry, not very imaginative is it? Will think and let you know if anything pops into my addled brain.

What about something from Red Lettter Days?

This sounds like my idea of hell though! Teepee Break for two

LOL are you sure this isn't a front for Brat Camp? They drag us out to Utah under false pretences and then we have to hike 300 miles before we're allowed home..

Paintball day, where you all get to shoot at management?
