Requested copy of HR file. Got told no, can have supervised access?

Is this right?

They have said will not copy any of it, I can have supervised access at a time convenient for the HR Manager and myself although with a 8 month old child there is no time that is convenient for me really.

They have also asked that I brig a remittance?

Can they do this? I thought if I requested a copy and offered to pay they had to provide one?

Read this: ico.org.uk/for_the_public/personal_information

I'm pretty sure they have to give you a copy looking at this.

HermioneWeasley · 27/06/2014 19:58

Is there something specific you want a copy of?

flowery · 27/06/2014 19:58

That ICO guide is good. They must give you copies, not just let you see it.

Quote the ICO at them and I would threaten to complain to the ICO if they attempt to deny you your rights under the Data Protection Act.

Thanks chaps. It's just them continuing to be obstructive.

I will most certainly quote the legislation at them and threaten to report them too.

I want information with regards to relationship issues that were mentioned in an investigation which I was unaware of.

It just shit really. They are ignoring the falsified evidence completely saying nothing was malicious.

I have today been told that they refuse to investigate the serious allegations made with regards to me allegedly accessing patient notes and passing on pay information with regards to colleagues.

It's just never ending.

Apparently you get supervised access at my place, too. Haven't tried it myself, but my manager has asked to see his records in the past.
