i am sitting next to a sniffer. at least twice a minute all day long. that's 840 sniffs per day. i am almost homicidal after nearly 4 weeks of this. would it be really mean to say something to him? or buy him a box of tissues?

And a pack of clarityn

My ex boss couldnt bring himself to tell a woman that she smelled so he used to spray Neutradol in her general direction when she wasn't looking.

He also delegated the task of telling a male worker his breath was foul to a junior manager.

loads of sympathy, bossykate.

I am such a coward, I would go and tell HR, and beg for another desk. Unless of course I had a window desk, in which case Id ask for the sniffer to be moved.

My dh had to tell someone she smelt. He actually said 'you smell less than fresh', which for some reason always really amuses me

Any news on the terminal sniffer??

Feistybird · 28/07/2006 14:07

I used to work with a lovely natured guy with shocking personal habits. He used to drink coke all day and then speak to people and belch quite explosively half way through a sentence straight in their faces.

He also used to fart and completely ignore it - oh and he sneezed in my face too.

We worked at a big blue chip global company at the time too.

Has the sniffing subsided at all, bk?

bossykate · 03/08/2006 17:52

ah... some improvement thank you. can't write too much, he is right here!
