Would you accept a linked invite from someone you are interviewing? He is external and I have done one interview with him and I will invite him for second one soon. (He sent the invite before the first interview but so far I have ignored it.) I was thinking about ignoring it till I had made a decision?

Absolutely not accept. Ignore.

NO!
You've got the right idea in your OP. Ignore til after the decision is made.

No I wouldn't and it looks unprofessional of the interviewee in my opinion.

eurochick · 16/12/2013 08:39

No. After a decision has been made (either way) then fine.

FloweryTaleofNewYork · 16/12/2013 11:18

No I wouldn't and I would be a bit Hmm at receiving one tbh.

Definitely would not accept. Don't think it reflects particularly well on the candidate either.

LIG1979 · 16/12/2013 12:08

Thanks. Definitely will not accept it then. I wasn't sure what to think of it and whether it reflected badly on him as whilst it is something I would never do, I thought that maybe it was just him being assertive and trying to make sure he was remembered over the other candidates. He is actually a very strong candidate.

I've had two candidates do this in the last year. I ignored them both. If they'd been great candidates, I'd have disregarded it but they were both already question marks and it did push them gently into the "no" pile...
