It will be my first Christmas as a limited company. Am thinking I might need to have an office Christmas party to legitimise myself, but will I have to snog myself under the mistletoe?

Firstly BRILLIANT JOB. You are a limited company! Frankly raise a glass to yourself and say hurrah, even if it isn't Christmas x

And it will be tax deductible...

I am DHs Company Secretary, he is mine. Our children are minority shareholders.
We are going out for a VERY nice dinner and then we decide whose accounts it goes through Grin

Ah but I think its only tax deductable if it's employees... split it up according to who is an employee of which company (no charge for that advice)

AGMs are allowed for directors, secretaries and shareholders
in fact we call them board and investor meetings
and have them whenever we are hungry

and non exec directors and secretaries are certainly allowed to staff parties

the tax deducible kicks in when its external people coming to the party
and we all have vested interests in both companies
