Signed off sick working a second job.

I was signed off with my primary job (NHS) with stress caused by that employment. My GP informed me to keep busy and not just sit around the house, so I worked a second job which didn't cause me any stress and in honesty my return to my NHS job a lot quicker.

However now apparently I have commuted fraud? Work haven't said anything yet but no doubt it will happen.

Any advice wether I have actually committed fraud or I was wrong to work a second job would be brilliant.

Thank you in advance.

I don't know? I didn't think I was doing anything wrong as it was my 1st job that caused me to be signed off.

Alas this is why I've asked for help I don't think I've done anything wrong? I went and helped out for 3 days out of being signed off for 21. However I do
Believe I would of been signed off longer if I just sat around for 3 weeks.

Thank you all for your help.

Sounds more like someone has complained about how could you be off sick if you were out "socialising". There is a huge lack of understanding around stress and MH issues generally.
