Has anyone ever had to have a Counter Terrorism Check for a job

If so, how long did it take for it to come through. My unemployed brother has had to do one for a job and after two weeks has heard nothing and he is starting to get concerned.

I've been security checked twice (different levels) and it can take weeks.

He could ask the new employer how long it usually takes for this check.

I agree that it can take weeks I'm afraid. I got my current post in the November but wasn't cleared to start till the beginning of the April! And it wasn't for want of my managers desperately needing me to start either.

IME your brother shouldn't be concerned but just keep in touch with HR or whoever his contact is.
