How to ask if an advertised full time job could be done on a part-time basis

I've just seen my ideal job advertised in our local paper but on a full time basis.
I have 3 children 6, 3 & 6months and there is no way I would be able to entertain doing a full time job but would like to work part time, well more need to than like to!!Grin
Does any-one have any good suggestions as to how to enquire whether the company would consider taking on some-one part time to do the job?

Maybe send in your CV (so they know how great you are!) then put in the covering letter that you need part-time only. If they don't get a good response they might consider you a good bet.

Good luck.

It might be worth phoning up and asking if there is any flexibility in hours, that way it saves you spending time on an application if they only want full time.

Do you know anyone who could jobshare and you could apply together?
