Has anyone start up a children's party business?

I'm very interested in doing so but haven't a clue where to start. There are only soft play or ceramic options in my area, my idea involves a different activity.
Any idea or tips would be gratefully received. Tia

Bit hard without more information...advice would be tailored to the type of parties you're offering.

I do children's parties as a part of my business (storytelling), it's nice money per party but not regular income. You'd need a "bread and butter" income stream too.
Also, it's a lot of weekend work and takes a fair bit of prep.

I'd be looking do cooking parties. I'm a catering student with 3dc so I'm experienced in cooking with children.

You need to look up Katie's Cakes, which also trades as Katie's Kitchen, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Bloody fabulous idea. She originally set up in the market hall here, but now has her own premesis from which she runs preschool cooking classes, holiday classes, sessions for keener cooks, cooking parties ... always seems to be busy.

She's on Facebook but there's not a huge amount of info there.
