Breach of contract. New role

My line manager has been changed from a director to a grade 6 administrator. Does this qualify as my also having been officially demoted?

Also, suffering from stress from bullying at work I was signed off for several weeks. On my return I was pressurised by my line manager to meet a new Director and told I would have to take on the role of the Director's PA. There had been no prior consultation or information on this new post. Is this permissable.

Whether you've been demoted depends on your role and grade really, not someone else's.

What is your role now and how different is it to the Director's PA one you are being asked to do?

When they asked you to take on the role of Director's PA, do you mean in addition to your existing job or as a completely new role?
