Starting up a small business - does anyone on MN sell nappies?

I've moved this cos I realised I'd put it in the wrong topic!!!!

Dh and I are starting up something small locally, to sell and promote nappies as there just isn't really any awareness of them in iyr area.

Does anyone have any advice on setting up a business like this (it will probably have an internest site, but be based from home with me giving demonstrations etc) or does anyone on MN actually sell nappies?

On my other bit someone suggested lollipop but I don't really want to be an agent, and as dh has a business degree and I'm already self employed I'm sure we'll cope with running it ourselves!

can you contact your local NCT branch and maybe offer to do demonstrations at mums and tots groups or at antenatal classes, maybe an small advert in their newsletter? What about contacting your local council to see who they work with? local hospital?
it's something I've thought about doing as well, but that's are far as I've gone - the thinking stage
