Ok... Mat leave up in about 6 weeks, time to return to a stupid job in a stupid company :( don't WANT to go back!! 15 hours a week so cant get WT Credits... Wont up my contract so I can even though while I've been on leave I know of at least one person thats had their contract increased, AND they've taken on new staff. Cant quit because will get 26 week sanction fromGovernment, not that I want to be sat on dole, even though I would be better off, getting nowhere with applying for other jobs either. Stupid stupid stupid!!

It's crap isn't it ! U go back in about 4 weeks and I feel a bit the same. I guess all you can do is see how you go and maybe keep trying to change jobs.

So sorry to hear that you are so depressed about going back to work. I hope you will be able to switch jobs. I felt the same way when my mat leave was about to expire, even though I love my job...

Same as maggie , I really like my job but still feel really sad about going back........

Are you a single parent? If so you can quit and get income support rather than jobseekers allowance, and you wouldn't be sanctioned for leaving your previous employment.

Bear in mind that although that may be the better option financially in the short term, it would have long term implications on job prospects and future earning potential.

Alternatively can u get a job just doing an hour or 2 a week, glass collecting or cleaning or anything like that just to take you over the 16 hours a week line?
