How do I become an essential literacy/numeracy skills for adults tutor?

Just wondered if anyone knew what the best route into this would be?

I'm already a primary teacher but am sure there is a course that I must do before working with adults?

Does anyone know where I should look or indeed are you an essential skills tutor with any advice to give?

Many thanks

Presumably you have Cert Ed or PGCE already ? You should look under Skills for Life or Functional Skills to see what specific qualifications may be requested but a PTTLLS course might enable you to convert to teaching adults.

Yes, I have a PGCE already; I will look into the course you mention.

Thank you
