Can DH (self-employed) register for childcare voucher?

That's it basically. He has his own limited company and he is registered as a director. He pays himself monthly although there is no such thing as 'payroll' as it's just him.

He doesn't draw a big salary from the company and it's not turning a huge profit, but we're trying to find out if he can register for a childcare scheme.

TIA.

He's not self employed - if he was he couldn't get vouchers.

He probably isn't an employee of the company he owns either, and in order to receive vouchers tax free he probably needs to be. There are some hoops to jump through to set all this up properly so talk to your accountant.

Once it is st up properly yes, he can receive the maximum amount of vouchers. As can any other person that is employed by the company, such as yourself.

Thanks very much, MrAnchovy. Have set DH on task to quiz his accountant. Much appreciated!
