HR dissertation topics - any ideas???

Hi

I am in the last year of doing my MSc in Human Resource Management and need to choose my dissertation topic. I am completely stumped as to what to choose.

I wondered if there were any HR people around here who had any ideas or could tell me what topic they did for their CIPD course.

I work as a generalist HR Advisor so cover pretty much all areas of HR. I would be so grateful for any ideas.

OK, I am in my final year of the HRM masters program and going crazy about choosing my dissertation topic. My proposal is just two weeks!! My organization wants me to do a topic on core values and how it impacts the org culture or even HRM in practice. This is huge and I am having problems with the literature on change and culture. Any suggestions....

What about change management? Kotter & all that.

Something about how flexible working can really work for the employer-the business case.

Or, and I don't know exactly what angle, but something about how to use/recognise skills developed in an unrelated field. It's often quite hard for recruiters, and those looking for jobs, to see or communicate skills transferable from one field/role to another. Improving this could positively effect companies (new perspectives etc) and individuals (wanting a new experience or in some cases the possibility of working if they need to do so part time and can't in their usual role/field).

Oops-just noticed the date of the op-guess these more recent suggestions might come in useful for your phd op!
