How can I conduct market research when no one will talk to me?

Grrrr.

Just keep walking into brick walls! Really don't know what to do.

DH and I are planning on setting up a consultancy business which will work with other businesses and priivate home owners but every business I've spoken to refuses to talk to me.

Any ideas????

Try doing it via email as a questionnaire with an incentive to complete it? Take space at a trade fayre? run a breakfast meeting with a speaker and free pastries to lure them in to speak to you?
