Im a set/costume/prop person for theatre, I've been offered a job doing set and props for a one off special of a magazine show. Big show on one of the main 4 channels. Not bbc.
I have to talk to someone about my rates tomorrow, I have no idea! From what I've heard tv is better pay than theatre, so I don't want them to think I'm crap/inexperienced by asking for too little.
Help! Any ball park figures welcome!

Hi cheddar-- only just seen your post so maybe too late, but I do similar work so could help with rates advice? It really depends on who the production company is/ how beneficial the work could be for you (getting recommended more work from this job) / and what exactly they're asking you to make! Are they providing materials or are you providing them as part of your fee?
It's quite tricky finding the best rate but tv (in my exp) always pay more than theatre- provided you haven't been hired cos someone has already told them your theatre rates and that's what they are expecting!

Feel free to pm me if you want to chat more! :)
