I work with young people in a professional role. I have been self employed for the past year and work 3 days per week for various employers. The money isnt great, but I do enjoy what I do and my roleis varied and a good challenge.

I have seen a job for a role that would give me better experience in the specific area I am interested in (cant say too much as I dont want to out myself ). The money isn't great either - would add up to abut the same pro rata, maybe very slightly more. The hours are slightly longer, the commute would be fine, the jobis more responsible and I would be managing a project myself. The organisation is a small but growing and influential charity.Bthe work looks great, totally up my street.

DH thinks I should work on building up my own work on a self employed basis, and part of me thinks he is right. Maybe going for a 'proper job' would be the safe and lazy option? However, part of me thinks it would be great to be part of an organisation and a team again, doing something I am excellent at and with a project that would be 'my baby', and wth a more senior role insome ways (better jbtitle, more project management involved).

Does anyone have opinions or advice?

I would apply and see where you get to - sounds like there are lots of advatages to it - depends of course why you went self employed in the first place - if it was because say you don't like being an employee then maybe not a good idea
