Being made redundant but have to do a handover

My pt role is being made redundant next week but I am being asked to do a handover of it. But if the role is being made redundant what is there to handover... It's actually being made into a ft position with additional responsibilities. Would have been nicer if they'd created another pt role don't you think? Anyway I have no motivation to discuss anything given I've been on gardening leave for 3 weeks. Surely if there was anything to discuss it would have cropped up in the last 3 weeks. I did leave a whole set of notes too. How would you feel?

That's awful
But I would do it as presumably you'll need a reference from them to get a new job
Could you apply for the full time position?

I'd be furious. But also thinking about a reference. Depends on what they have been like with me. If not very sympathetic I wouldn't be inclined to be over co-operative. But when it comes to action it's a different story. You don't seem to have been treated very well. Why not ring up the Citizen's Advice Bureau. Or are you in a Union.
