Advice on Struggling to get a suitable job

I have a toddler & work full time doing a job I don't enjoy that although is basically office, it's not child-friendly so my husband does all the nursery drops/collecting plus the "child sick cover". I don't get paid a vast amount & pay full time childcare costs (no family living within two hours to help out). I'm fortunate my husband has a good job, although he does have to work away often so I ended up doing the single parent thing & juggling work.

I've only been in my job 16 weeks & I've asked about flexible working/going to four days a week but they won't entertain it. I need a new job, but don't have the energy/time to look for one & am trying to keep in with my current employer to get references so can't use lunchtime to look for work etc. (we work through lunch anyway). I am struggling to cope with he current set up esp as we are desperate to move house & tidying/fitting in viewings is also a real struggle, should I quit my job?

Please note a few years ago I had really good jobs, company went under so I got made redundant, then couldn't get permanent employment so took interim roles then fell pregnant so had maternity leave with no job to return to. It took me 12 months of applying for jobs to get the one I've got, during which time I lost quite a bit of confidence & got a little low as hadn't planned to be a SAHM, I didn't really enjoy maternity leave as much as I should have as the job issue hung over me like a grey cloud. - hopefully you can see the dilemmas I face, any advice would be welcomed.

Thank you.
