I work freelance, from home, for a fabulous client. They have given me stacks of work over the past few months, and treat me as one of their internal team.

I have LOTS of work on over the next few days, but, having had a week off for half term, I really can't get my head down and get on with it. And I need to continue to impress them, I love working with them.

How do you motivate yourself when you are having a 'I want to watch tv and drink tea all day' moment?

I set a time to start. On the days I work from home (instead of at my clients' offices) I have to be at my desk at 9. I tend to get home from the school run around 830, so that gives me half an hour to faff about!

See, that wouldn't work for me, TP, as I work online! Grin

tee hee
A lot of my work is online - but while actually composing stuff I try to stay offline

Off you go, go on. Switch off mumsnet and there's a big glass of wine for you when you have finished your work. Or two.

Go and do some work, for fecks sake, I'm going to get really pissed off with you in a minute!!!

Sossiges · 01/11/2011 15:16

Did that help?

vanimal · 01/11/2011 15:27

Thanks everyone Grin

It didn't help much, I am back online again, but I have squeezed in a couple of hours work today.

I also work online all day, so I am constantly on MN or on facebook, wasting time. Ah well, I have finally got into it, and it's time to get dinner sorted before picking up the DDs from daycare. Luckily DH is home at 6pm, so he can do the kids whilst I work all evening. Serves me right.
