bastard bastard bastard.

trying to come up with a manual for a one man band is bloody hard!

Will you even GET it if it's you, you and only you?

Anyone who is a one man band actually got the 9001?

Yes, its pretty easy when theres only two of us plus 2 full time staff and the rest are self employed. Ours is very straight forward.

I went throught the chamber of commerce to find someone local to set it up for me (I think its impossible to do it properly by yourself) he used a template for another business and this kept costs down.

I went on a self auditing course a few weeks ago, cost just over £400 for 2 days but it was excellent.

Its a costly experience but a necessary one to get the certification. He is using a company from quite a distance away but are cheap for the audit which should be done by the summer.

I started the process in about March.

As long as you can prove you have a good paper trail, training, systems in place I wouldnt think there would be much problem with a one man band compared with a small company like us.

I would def do it this way and not try it yourself as the audit can be around £500 so you want to get it right.

I'd say it'll cost just under £2000 for us and we are doing it on the cheap.
