Can anyone work out roughly what this salary would be per week..cannot understand pro rata???

Going for a job which is mon- fri, in a school. 8,40 - 3.15, teaching assistant, band 2.12. £8.08 per hour. Pro rata.

Then she mentioned i would work 44 weeks.

Baffles me how much it would work out??
she said i would be paid in the holidays.

To know what the pro-rata rate for the hours worked (looks like 6 hours 55 min per day and that = 35 hours per week - unless an unpaid lunch break is included ) would need to work out

1. what are the full time weekly hours?
2. whether a paid lunch break is included between 8.40 and 3.15?
3. whether an unpaid lunch break is included between 8.40 and 3.15?
4. whether they spread the pay for the 44 weeks paid is spread out over the 52 weeks (so that you are paid over hols) or whether that's in addition to the 44 weeks?

Can't you just ask the school?

£262.50 assuming 6.5 hours a day, 5 days.

Reduce that to £222 if the hours are spread over 52 weeks. But like hairy said that is a guess I'd ask the school.
