Just gone back to work again after lovely days off for Easter. Found it v. Hard to leave DD again as just used to seeing her all day again. She is very cling now at almost 11 months. She cried when I left. Got home after stressful day at work with massive headache. DD decided to pull a clump of my hair out and poke me in the eye whilst trying to put her in bed. Rolled all over bed, cried, bashed me in face. I shouted at her :-( then cried. Just lost my temper. Could blame lack if sleep (DD still wakes 2-4 times a night) but thats no excuse. Feel so terrible. Esp. As have not seen her all day.
There. Confession made.
Please tell me it gets easier working full time with a baby.

It gets easier.

She'll have pretty much forgotten in a couple of days at her age, and be back in the pre-Easter routine. All will be well Smile

You feel bad about loosing your temper, so by definition you're not a bad mum.

It does get easier. I went back full time when DS was 9 months. Was hard at first, especially as I had lots of different childcare arrangements going on - my parents one day, childminder 3 days, nursery one day. It took him a good while to settle at nursery particularly and I always felt dreadful the day I would drop him off there. However before long he was quite happy with his new routine and now positively thrives on it and is a very very happy little boy, making me a very happy mother!

Don't worry. We've all been there. I've been back at work 6 months now and I still get the odd temper day. It's only normal. But I don't regret going back to work for a minute. All 4 of us are much happier as a family because of it.
