Trying to do some sums and it's difficult when I don't know what my takehome pay will be when I reduce my hours. I did a Google but not much luck. Do you know a good website??

Thanks

I find netpaydue.com quite handy. It will do Gross to Net, and Net to Gross calculations. It will work out based on figures that are weekly, monthly or annual.

It is aimed at employees, so doesn't work out Employer NI (which as a nanny is handy for me to know as helps my employer know what the real cost of employing a nanny is). But it's a good start.

thesalarycounter.co.uk is a good one.

Don't know your situation, but after I took extra 4 months on maternity leave the job centre worked out how much I would be receiving with deductions, tax credits etc when i went back to work. They were actually correct, gasp!
