Facebook Ads - anyone done this?

Hello, on a spur of the moment I bought some facebook ads...I wondered if anyone had done this already and if they had any words of wisdom? Have restricted my spending and am paying per click rather than per 1000 impression, however I am not sure that is the right thing....ho hum. Another waste of money? Trying to get my business 'out there' but it is pretty hard going!

I recently bought some facebook ads, set and budget and left it to run. I think its very importaint to get your wording on the ad right and the picture you are using, some are doing better than others. Tbh they seem to be great at attracting 'likes' as ive got almost 100% of clicks turning to likes but not many are turning into sales unfortunatly :(

I still do not understand how ANYBODY apart from the lending banks and financial advisors is going to make money out of facebook
I use the "better facebook" tool that hides ALL adverts as shopping is not an FB activity in my world :-)

facebook ads are great for awareness and 'likes' as mentioned before. Going into facebook, business wise , with the sole intention of increasing takings is naive - it's just not happening, but not impossible.
It's a marketing tool, to be used as part of the mix. It's free, technically, which is a bonus, but if properly implemented, takes time, which of course isn't free.
