I just wanted to share my good news and hopefully offer some hope to anyone who is thinking of returning to work after a long spell at home. I have been at home for over 3 years and have managed to get a job in my previous area (professional job). Its PT and almost school hours (DD will need to be in after school club for 45 minutes). Yayyyyy! Smile

How exciting!! (I want an iphone!!)

If you do want to loose a half a stone I would recommend Jason Vale's super juice diet and Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD both MN recommendations!!

carryon · 16/03/2011 21:18

Thank you for that. I already have the 30 day shred on order. Am calorie counting at the moment.

aah thats brilliant, well done you Grin
I have been at home for 5 years now and am really wanting to go back to work but rather gloomy about the prospects of getting any kind of job that would be as good as old one and with kiddie friendly hours - you have inspired me that it is possible! thank you Smile

carryon · 17/03/2011 11:08

Thank you. Yes it is possible. I have returned to the same area of work but a different company. I have taken a slight pay drop but its weighed up against getting 3 days. DS starts school next year when I hope to change to 4 short days to fir in with breakfast club plus school. It will be tricky to manage until then as I have to do picking up and dropping off but its do able.

Thank you for your encouraging post, carryon! Looking for a job at the moment but it's got to be "right" to be able to fit in with children... getting job emails with only 'sales' and 'cleaner' roles listed was getting me down :(
