Updating my cv.... how much education detail do you show?

Hi there... am updating my cv for the first time in YEARS... have been self employed since 2000 and working abroad before that, and am about to put myself out in the open market again (eeek!)....

Currently I am showing in the "education and qualifications" section of my cv, in reverse order (ie, most recent first), the following

Masters degree I am currently studying for
Post graduate diploma
Undergraduate degree

and nothing else.

Should I be putting down my school details and exams? I am quite ancient, and feel faintly ridiculous doing so, but I have been out of the open market for so long, I'm not sure I have a clue.....

All advice gratefully received, thank you!

Hi - I don't unless a job advert asks for them - if you are looking for good book - me and OH both been job hunting recently found Killer CV's very good - silly title but very useful, up to date and good on networking and inteviews as well

Thanks crw, you confirmed my instinct.... will look up that book as well! Smile

As an employer of graduates yes I care about your degree no I really don't care about where you went to school and what a-levels you got even less so about o-levels/GCSEs.

I would mention tho GCSE Maths and English if they're needed for the job, plus ICT quals if you've got any

50m swimming certificate is very important, you know Grin

Agree with others - if you have a degree, masters, etc it will be pretty much taken for granted that you are able to study. It is only relevant to mention if asked for.
