We're planning to organise a one-day course for our clients to give them some background information about the scientific area in which we provide consultancy. I don't want to go into too much detail, as it's a very identifiable field, but we know there is a demand for it as we've been asked several times to provide a session of this kind.
What would you expect to charge individuals attending such a course? Or if you attend courses, what would you consider a reasonable fee? Our clients are mainly in the public sector, but have deep pockets for things they consider important. We're based in a university scientific department, and our overheads would include hiring the lecture theatre, fees for speakers, lecture handouts, tea, coffee (maybe lunch as well?). We'd plan to have maybe 50-100 people attending, so that they would be able to ask speakers questions individually or in small groups.
Any advice?
