Sending online invoices - Paypal or another provider?

Hi, I want to begin sending out invoices for my business.

I need a low cost way for people to pay up front with a credit or debit card. Is paypal the way to go?

Thanks

Why would they pay you up front?
If its a service, billing after the event is more professional.
If its a tangible, then yes, have a paypal or internet payment page added to your website.

Well, its a book-a-session thing - like booking a one off session with a personal trainer. I have paid for similar services up front before.

Any suggestions for alternatives to paypal?

Sage Pay.

Avoid Pay Pal like the devil.
