I just posted on my other thread to say that "if" they offerend me the job (which I'd know about by 2 this afternoon) they were going to offer me 2 days instead of 3.

Well just after I posted the phone rang - and they've offered me the job - 3 nights a week

Thanks everyone - really excited about it,

Although celebrations a little "muted" as the bank today told us they couldn't do a managed loan for us (which involves making DH's account an 'standard' cardcash type one - and having no credit card or overdraft etc etc) - because apparently we're not in financial difficulties - we're over spending!

Quite how spending £20-25 a week on the weeks shopping for a family of four (including 1 in nappies fulltime and one still in nappies at night) is overspending is beyond me.....

Can't believe how quickly they called me though! And that they changed their mind from offering me just the 2 days, to offering me the 3

The other interviewer (there was the manager who was there last week and one of the senior day care assistants - who's 24 and looks about 18 ) asked if I would want to do an NVQ. I said "of course that would be great" (or something along those lines LOL). And the manager piped in "that would be NVQ level 2, and then probably you'd do level 3 too" - had a tiny inkling at that point that she thought I was the "right" person - or why else would she think I'd should do my level 3 too (when the job only really needs a level 2!)

so when do you start?!!!

I start hopefully a week on Monday - but it depends on how long it takes for the CRB check to get done (apparently it can vary). I'm going to my first staff meeting next wednesday afternoon.
