I did when I was interviewed for my current job.

The agency I was registered with didn't forward a full version of my CV onto the company so I was interviewed for a much lower job grade the 1st time round.

When I was invited back for an interview for a management role I asked about expenses as it was a 300+ mile round trip.

They agreed, and I was offered the job.

It made is easier to ask as the agency arranged everything.

Good luck!!

Generally, no I'm afraid not.

If you're on JSA, then yes. Also, some very large graduate schemes (like Cadbury) allow you to claim back expenses, as do Teach First, but this seems to be a luxury afforded only to recent graduates.

Think you will just have to take the hit!
