Why have I nothad a reminder about my tax return this year?

usually I get reminders all through December. This year- nothing!

I assume i still have to file before 31 jan?

I am s/e and do my returns online.

Last year I did my return in Jul, paid the amount due and 2 months later they refunded it all, as it appeared I had paid too much but not complaining.

tax return reminders came out in the early summer
account statements after the july payment come out in the autumn
go into your account on hmrc and check your return status

thanks- but for the last 5 years or so they have inundated me with letters telling me about the Jan deadline-...???

my statement for the january payment came through today
but I submitted ages ago
waiting for a letter is NOT an excuse for filing late.

I did mine today - snowed in. I haven't received a reminder and don't think I ever do. Yes, you do still have to file it by 31 January.
