Back at work for 1 month and paid SMP - HR/payroll folks, how quickly do you think this could be fixed?

Subject pretty much says it all. I arrived home this evening to find my payslip for November is SMP, when I have been back at work for the whole month!!

How can payroll fix this and how quickly - I have my nanny to pay and I don't want to cause her any problems in addition to mine!

Payroll peeps can normally fix things quite quickly if there's been an error. Have a word with them. If they fob you off saying that they'll fix it in the December payroll ask them very nicely if they can do anything immediately given you have bills to pay etc.

if they offer to fix it in december payroll its breach of contract.

i just stayed on the phone repeating this this HR until they agreed to fix it that day.

tell them they will also need to pay for any expenses you have incurred because of this such as bank fees or overdraft etc.
