I feel as bad leaving DC4 as I did with DC1!

Hi there,
my DD2 will be 1 next week and I have gone back to work 3 days a week. At the moment my employer hasn't found me a role yet, so I am actually sitting at home waiting for this to happen any day. My DD2 has a place at nursery but hasn't started as I am waiting to put her in as soon as I get assigned some work!

It's really weird, but after having 3 children who all went to some form of childcare as babies, I thought I would be really relaxed about sending her, but I am really anxious about it!

I have 3 months holiday left to take before April and I am wondering whether I should take them in bulk now and delay sending her for another 3 months. Will it be better or worse for her? Any experiences?

She would be going 3 days a week, school hours.

Thanks!

How old is she?
Can you afford to send her before you actually start work to settle her in on shorter days? Then you wouldn't be panicking about trying to pick her up. and could MN and eat biscuits?

3 days sounds good as it gives her more chance to get settled.

You are completely normal to be anxious about it Grin

Nagoo,

she is 1 next week! So not that tiny I guess in the big scheme of things! To think I left my others since they were 6 months!!!

Good suggestion about the shorter days, I am thinking about that - thanks!

My friend is like this with her dc4. I'm starting to think it's because she knows she's not having any more so she doesn't want to lose the baby time. It's understandable.
