Hi,

Would appreciate your adivse on this:

Can anyone confirm if I am entitled to a wage rise during my maternity leave? We alwys had wage increases in April. As i was on ML i did not get one.

Pension contributions made by my employer. Do I have the right to receive pension during maternity leave? And does it have to be paid at the same time (annually) as perviously done? Or can it be held back till i return to work?

THanks a lot. Really upset that I have to fight for every single thing with my office after having worked on day a week free overtime for nearly 7 years. Just thinking about it makes me feel anxiou and sick.

thank you very much and sorry for ramble

Depends on the wage rise. If its a site thing e.g. everyone got one then yes (esp if the people doing the same job as you get one). If only some got one then not nesecelary.

As for pensions you still get them paid as long as your getting either SMP, contractual maternity pay or your within the first 26 weeks maternity leave.

Up to now we were (I believe) all getting wage increases in April. What if they reply to me that I do not get one because I am on maternity leave?

Then clearly they cannot come later if I dispute and say I dont get one because nobody else got one.

We are only 5 employees. And how would I find out if others got or did not get an increase?

They can't use the reason of mat leave to not give you a pay rise if say there was a 2.4% increase across the board. But just becuase you've always got one doesn't mean you'll get one every year.

Best way is to ask them if they got a pay rise.
